Iced COLD…Tea!

It’s almost officially Summer! Time for grilling out on the back patio, taking a dip in the pool and sipping on a refreshing iced tea to keep you cool in the hot sun.
I had the pleasure of seeing my four-year-old son start his first enterprise this past weekend, a Tea Embassy on the Rocks. He is wanting to earn money to purchase a new LEGO set. So, we encouraged him to sell his favorite tea in our neighborhood, Blueberry Rooibos herbal iced tea! With a little working capital from mama and dada, he set up his first Iced Tea Stand. His two-year-old sister helped out, mainly sampling and enjoying be part of the excitement while working for tips. Our youngest, six months, got the best hammock lounge you can buy! The iced tea was a huge success, selling out in less than an hour! It was a blast.
Whether you set up your own iced tea stand or just serve up a tall pitcher to have for yourself in the fridge, try putting your favorite loose leaf teas you drink hot on ice as chilled teas. You might be surprised at how good they are!
Here are some tips on making great iced tea as well as some recommendations on which teas to select!
