It’s not always easy to meet friends or make friends. Can you think of how you’ve met your closest friends? Was it the kid on the school bus when you were in second grade that you’ve remained BFF? Or did you meet your best friend through a friend of a friend? My sister-in-law and her husband met in college and reconnected on Facebook years later. My wife had a dream about me before we met in a small prayer room. One of our customers met a friend right here at the Tea Embassy and she became the leading lady in his latest film!

Friends at Tea Embassy: Tim, Shaggy, Jessi & Nick

One of the things that I love about tea is that it brings people together. We love meeting new people and becoming friends with them and that’s what tea is all about. We’ve had customers that started shopping with us since they were in high school and are now past their graduate studies. Other friends have shopped with us and even started working with us for a season! I’m not sure if it was to keep up their tea habit or just because they loved us so much?! I want to salute all of you today for being a friend of the Tea Embassy. It’s because of you that we enjoy tea. It’s because of you that we can continue to bring you the best teas from around the world.

One friend that I’d like to highlight in honor of SXSW going on this week is Shaggy (that’s him in the Tea Embassy T-shirt). Yes, that’s his name and he drink a LOT of tea. Loads of tea really. He drinks so much of our teas that he redeemed four frequent buyer Passport cards for a free Tea Embassy T-shirt! And then, he filled up four more to get another t-shirt! Thanks for being our friend, Shaggy! Shaggy is a film producer here in Austin and always has a selection of Tea Embassy iced teas in his refrigerator. He especially loves our caffeine free fruit teas and all of our white teas. Shaggy is the friend that met another friend at the Tea Embassy and she ended up starring in his last film.
