Georgian Beauty

Product Description

Rare and delightful artisan tea, hand made by a woman who has been making tea her whole life in the Georgian foothills of the Caucasus Mountains near the Black Sea. The tea from this high altitude plantation has a distinctive aroma-notes of apple, citrus, honey and rose with a higher tannin but lower caffeine content. Because of Georgia's geography and meterology, the teas in this region contain microzones, which add more depth to the character of the tea.Steeps nicely for at least two infusions, at boiling temperature, 212 degrees Fahrenheit, for 4-6 minutes.

Loose leaf tea comes packaged in a foil-lined, opaque pouch that has a resealable zip-lock to maintain freshness.

  1. Special tea 5 Star Review

A great non flavored black tea. It reminds me of CS Lewis tea which is also very good. It has a nice smooth 'dark' flavor. It makes me think of a cool rainy fall afternoon when one wants to curl up with a good book.

  2. I'm Not Sharing 5 Star Review

I'm usually a generous person, but I'm not sharing this tea with anyone. The long beautiful leaves, the deep wine/rose aroma, the lovely finish -- mine, all mine! I save it for mornings when I need to restore my hope in this world. While the kettle heats, I just stand there and sniff this gorgeous tea in anticipation.
